Climate, Community, Collaboration, Connection: Why Measuring Environmental Performance Matters

Writing from the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland last week, Kim Samuel shares her perspective from the launch of the 2016 Environmental Performance Index (EPI).

In her latest Huffington Post article, “Climate, Community, Collaboration, Connection: Why Measuring Environmental Performance Matters”, she stresses the importance of data-driven decision-making to move from high-level agreement on global environmental targets to measurable action.‎

Kim argues that effective policymaking must target sustainability with clear linkages to social connectedness. As she writes, “Sustainable solutions require ensuring that every voice is heard, from local and regional governments to marginalized groups such as Indigenous peoples.”‎
