Monica served as the President and CEO of Community Foundations of Canada for 18 years. During that time the movement expanded to include 170 locally based foundations and assets of nearly $3 billion.

Now the Interim Director of Resources for Mission, Anglican Church of Canada, Monica also serves on various Boards of Directors, including the Lawson Foundation, Rio Tinto Alcan Fund, St Luke’s Table, Opera Lyra and the Community Forward Fund which she chairs. Monica is a Trudeau Foundation mentor and a Synergos Fellow. Monica is recognized as one of the world’s leaders in community philanthropy and volunteerism, having spent much of her career helping countries around the world develop community foundation models.

In 2013 Monica was appointed to the Order of Canada for her leadership in philanthropy and the not for profit sector at home and abroad.
