M.L. Hale is an emerging singer song writer with remarkable insight evocative of her Celtic and First Nations roots. When her son became the target of a rather determined bully, he kept asking her, “Who is helping the bully?” As the situation escalated she began to realize why our children were in crisis and much too often choosing suicide. She felt a witness to the damage being done. She wondered how many souls society would murder… and all the time her son kept asking “Who is helping the bully?”
She wanted to ignite a reconnection of personal power for the victim and animate the bystanders to stand up together against bullying. She penned the song “RainChild” and the RainChild project was born. Artists made the song their own in different genres and languages, paying it forward and inspiring others. She started a movement inclusive of all and it has become multidisciplinary.
Her recent song “IMPROBABLE” penned by Hale / Wilson in response to the disappearance and murder of aboriginal women and recent murder of Tina Fontaine. Sheds light on the systemic issues facing our aboriginal peoples, opening a heart space to what is real.
