Networking HIV/AIDS Community of South Africa
Menaka Jayakody is a qualified Occupational Therapist and Life Alignment Practitioner with extensive experience in the children’s development sector. She has worked with women’s and children’s psychosocial programming in conflict affected areas in Sri Lanka as well as with community based care and children’s programmes for people affected and infected by HIV/AIDS in South Africa in both rural and urban settings. She has worked in NACOSA for the past 10 years specialising in the children’s and community based care sector. She is active in the children’s sector and is a member of the LINC network and an Executive member of the Yezingane Network, the children’s sector on the South African National AIDS Council. She is the national Orphans and Vulnerable Children Programme Manager for NACOSA (Networking HIV/AIDS Community of South Africa).
