We are pleased to share Kim Samuel’s latest article in the Huffington Post, “Where Is the Love? Building Belonging in an Age of Divisiveness”. Kim reflects on her experience at the recent World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland.

Kim was invited to speak in a session with will.i.am and other creative thought leaders, exploring the question, “Where is the Love?”. This title was inspired by a 2016 remake of the music video by the same name, produced by will.i.am and the Black Eyed Peas. The video features images warning us of the disastrous consequences of what Kim has called “other-ing”. Kim encourages us that even in a time of heightened insecurity and mistrust, we can, together, summon the courage to welcome those who are different from us into our lives.

She references key strategies to overcome social isolation by cultivating policy solutions from the bottom-up and working to build capacity for equity and recognition of all voices. For more articles by Kim Samuel, please visit: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/author/kim-samuel
