#MeToo Should Be Everyone’s Issue

Kim Samuel’s latest Huffington Post article, “#MeToo should be everyone’s issue,” expresses resounding solidarity with all the women who are bravely coming forward as part of the #MeToo movement, and with other victims of sexual harassment.

Kim encourages everyone to truly convey to women everywhere, “I believe in you”, and calls for actions against sexual harassment and violence in our society. As she explains, telling someone “I believe in you” goes far beyond “I believe you”. She argues that we must accept the facts without question, and at the same time, we must provide full affirmation. Further, she writes that for all women standing up and sharing these stories, the message from society must be “you did absolutely nothing to deserve this or cause this to happen, you are seen, you are worthy and you belong.”
