To Reach Peace, We Must Teach Peace

On the eve of important dialogue in Israel concerning prospects for peace in the Middle East, we are pleased to share Kim Samuel’s latest article, “To Reach Peace, We Must Teach Peace“.

As Kim outlines here, we must be mindful of the essential role of education both in times of conflict and in times of peace. Far beyond any simplistic deal for peace, Kim encourages efforts that recognize and build understanding and connectedness between peoples. This work starts with children and depends on a commitment to education where compassion and kindness are every bit as important as scholarship and academic excellence.
