Gender Equity in the age of COVID-19

Women’s History Month is a time to celebrate progress on gender equity, while remaining steadfast in the commitment to tangible change still left to do. To mark Women’s History Month, SCSC’s Kim Samuel alongside Uganda-based gender mainstreaming consultant and Senior Fellow at Harvard’s Advanced Leadership Initiative, colleague and SCSC Global Symposia speaker, Rehmah Kasule co-authored a piece highlighting gender issues in the age of COVID-19.

The article was published in The East African, a newspaper circulated in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and other countries in the region. The piece describes pressing problems and hopeful prospects for renewing gender equity.
